Position: Business Development Strategist

The Light Digital is looking for a talented Business Development Strategist to sell digital marketing and advertising for a family owned, growth oriented media company in the San Francisco Bay Area.

We are looking for a sales hunter who wants big, uncapped rewards and who loves to help small and medium sized business clients grow. We seek someone to join an expanding team of Strategists to help us positively transform hundreds of Bay Area businesses. If you are a creative, independent thinker -- let’s talk.

What we do
Named Small Business of the Year for 2017 by the Richmond Chamber of Commerce, we provide the full range of digital marketing including social media management, search engine optimization, website development, digital advertising on Facebook/Instagram/Google/and other channels, email marketing, digital display advertising, reputation management, blogging, video, and other digital tools, tactics and strategies to generate business growth for our clients.

Our clients and prospects are located throughout the Bay Area and we form long term relationships with them. From our centrally located office in the Hilltop area of Richmond, next to I-80, our team has excellent access to the nine Bay Area Counties.

Qualifications - Proven capabilities in at least one of the two following areas are required:

You know the digital marketing landscape and how to apply digital tools to attract customers for businesses.


You know how to close deals with business owners (of companies with a typical size of 5-75 employees).

If you have a strong grounding in one of the two areas, we can teach you the other. Strength in both is a plus, but is not required.

Position Responsibilities
• Identify and close deals with new prospects.
• Manage and deepen relationships with client accounts.
• Create and conduct business meetings with new prospects at their offices.
• Generate imaginative, executable and practical marketing ideas for clients, then coordinate the execution of those ideas with our content and advertising teams.
• Lead client onboarding and customer success.
• Uphold the highest standards of personal integrity.
